The year 6's are having a fantastic tme at the Pinkery. They all had a good go at climbing and had fun on the beach rock pooling. A quick trip to the park next to the sea before back to base for dinner.

New PE Kit Routine – Starting September 2025

We hope you’re all enjoying a fun and relaxing summer break as we get ready for an exciting new school year ahead.

Robins , Magpies and Kingfisher 1

At Manor Fields, we believe PE is not only about physical activity, but also about developing important life skills. For Reception, learning to dress themselves is a valuable part of their PE journey and is part of the Early Learning Goal for Physical Development – “Be increasingly independent as they get dressed and undressed.” For Year 1, this continues to support pupils’ independence and self-management skills. Please send your child to school with a labelled PE kit; kits will be sent home for washing at the end of each term. Miss Crowley and the team will let you know when Robins will start to change for their PE sessions, this is usually after the Christmas break.

Woodpeckers, Kingfisher 2, Herons, Skylarks, Owls and Kestrels

Having now developed the above-mentioned skills and to maximise the time available for high-quality PE lessons, pupils in Years 2–6 should wear their PE kit to school on their classes allocated PE days.

Yr 2 WW2 History Workshop

On Tuesday 15th July, Woodpeckers enjoyed a fantastic WW2 workshop.  As well as learning all about WW2, they were able to investigate lots of different artefacts, and they participated in many different activities.  They put on slings, used the stretchers and put out imaginary fires with the tools which would have been used in WW2.  They had an amazing day!

Please see our photos on the gallery.
